It’s Homecoming Week! 🎉 What do you love most about being part of the Lakeside community? How do you show off your school spirit? What is your favorite Homecoming tradition or event?

 

    What I like most about the Lakeside community, is just how many different groups there are. Every club and sport is full of all kinds of people, and no group is lacking. I show off my school spirit with joining events like Homecoming, and the Football games. My favorite Homecoming traditions is the pep rally since I get to play Earth, Wind, and Fire the whole time.


We did a test on "Constantly Risking Absurdity" by Lawrence Ferlinghetti.

Write about a time when you realized you needed to look out for yourself in a silly or harmless situation—maybe dodging a pop quiz, escaping a group chat argument, or remembering at the last second to submit an assignment. How did choosing wisely make your life easier?

      My friends and I go to parks a lot. One time the invited me to go with them, It was night around 8 and I decided not to go. Later on that night my friend got badly hurt, and had to go back home, and miss a day of school. By not going I was able to avoid getting hurt like my friend. We finished the story story "The Life You Save May Be Your Own". I learned about the lesson the story taught.
