How does watching the film version of Into the Wild change or deepen your understanding of Chris McCandless compared to reading the book? In your response, explain one key difference in how his character or experiences are presented, and connect this to a time when seeing something visually changed your understanding of a situation.

 

    With now seeing most of the movie I feel I have a greater understanding of Chris. Being able to hear his sister in the background talking about their family life helped me understand what made Chris leave. The movie showing what the fights between Chris parents in live action really shows what it could have been like. In the movie there is also a lot more dialogue with Chris, I was able to get a better picture of what he was like with this.

      My friends and I go to parks a lot. One time the invited me to go with them, It was night around 8 and I decided not to go. Later on that night my friend got badly hurt, and had to go back home, and miss a day of school. By not going I was able to avoid getting hurt like my friend. We finished the story story "The Life You Save May Be Your Own". I learned about the lesson the story taught.
