Reflect on a time when you paused to appreciate the beauty of nature, much like the speaker in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Where were you, what did you notice, and how did that moment of stillness make you feel or change your perspective?

Once I went on a large camping trip with a bunch of people, and one night we decided to look up at the stars, and that was the first time I saw the Milky Way, the real Milky Way. The sky was so clear, and there were no lights around us, just pitch black, a purple, blue, and starry sky. I could see the massive line in the sky where many stars came to gather, it almost felt like we were an egg, with a giant crack at the top. It changed my perspective on lights in our society, the sky we got robbed of. I could have gone my whole life by only seeing a few stars each night. The sky woke me, I could see why in the past people built religion just on the stars. I only hope to see it again. We read to Robert Frost poems. I learned the meaning of "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening".

In the poem, the speaker and his neighbor meet each year to repair a wall. Describe a time when you had to set or respect a boundary with a friend, family member, or classmate. How did it help or hurt your connection with that person?

A long time ago in my life, I lived with a different family in a rental house. We lived in the same three bedroom house for a few months so I got pretty cramped in there. We had to set a few boundaries in the household to keep things organized. Like on getting dressed in the living room, after a few incidents happened. Though that was pretty much all the boundaries, so it didn't affect the relationship too much. By the end we did end up becoming really close, probably because of a few boundaries. We did a Common Lit. I learned of a new story.

Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

A time that my life moved to fast was when I was a child. I spent a lot of my early childhood moving, so I never really got to make really close connections with a lot of people. This connects to Robert Frost poems since I wonder what would happen if I didn't move a lot, just like how in one of Robert's poems the narrator wonders what his life would have been if he took a different path. We read two poems by Robert Frost. I learned about how good things come and go.

As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

My favorite word right now is "loath", it means a strong hatred towards something or someone. I really like it since it sounds like love, but it means the opposite. I use it probably once a week on average. We worked on our PowerPoint. How to use transitions in PowerPoint.

In “Birches,” Robert Frost celebrates imagination as a way to escape life’s difficulties and reconnect with innocence. The speaker wishes to “get away from earth awhile” but also understands that he must eventually return to reality. Think about the role of imagination in your own life. How does imagination help you cope with challenges, boredom, or stress?

I use my imagination to get out of boredom. When I have nothing to do I will listen to a song and imagine it being performed, or a music video to it that never exists, and so much more. I'd play back the song multiple times, imagining new moments that play out in my head. Sometimes I make stories in my head to go along with the song, or put the song in an already made story, just with new events happening. We read the story "Birches" by Robert Frost. I learned how to return back to my childhood.

After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

Once when I was driving, there was high traffic on the road beside me, while my side was moving around 40 miles per hour. The back up on the other side made where cars trying to pull out couldn't see the incoming traffic easily. So a car popped out five feet in front of me while I was going around 35. So I had to think quickly to not hit them. I ended up slamming the breakers and turning into a grassy area. I ended up just bearably missing the car, and all ended well. Yet if I wasn't fully forced I would not have been able to react in time. Read the poem "Out, Out --" by Robert Frost. I learned about the theme of "Out, Out --"

What I did over the break.

Over the break I went out to different colleges campus to do a tour. I went to Georgia Southern and Mercer. I also went to my grandparents houses, and did some camping. I played at the football game this Friday, and performed in the Little Five Point parade. We worked on vocabulary, and did a comic strip. I learned some new words.

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

When I was talking to my mother, she told me to always sit down when angry, before doing anything. I kept this with me throughout my life. When someone or something gets me frustrated, I will think about it for a few hours. Then when I wait long enough I will take my action. Every time I did this the first thing I wanted to do was never the action I took. Allowing for me and others to have a more pleasant time. We took notes on informal writing. I learned more details on how to write formal and informal.

Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

The time I had to step out of my comfort zone is when I started to learn how to sing. I never truly liked my voice, and really had never sang. So when I started it felt  awkward. When I could match pitch, I became more confident. I still have a hard time singing but it is a lot better than before. We took notes on formal writing. I learned more about how to write good formal writing.

Write about a dream that felt real?

Many times I will wake up and have a snip-bit of a dream, Most of the time I think it is real, like; food I ate, a conversation I had, or some mundane thing like that. So when I wake up in the morning I assume I've done it. Making for some weird day ja do experiences. Worked on vocabulary lesson III. I learned some new vocabulary.

Write about something you’ve always been curious about.

I have always been curious about the evolution of spiders. It seems impossible for spiders to come into being. How does an animal evolve the abilities to spin out webs, and have the knowledge to create it, and in an efficient place. If an animal gains the ability to create webs, how is that useful if they don't know how to make a web. The chances for the spider to gain both, in a short period of time is little to none. The web is only useful if they have the knowledge to spin it. Was there a different purpose for the web, a simpler one. I get that once the spiders figure it out then they can start fine tuning it, but getting there does not make any sense. Why wrote an augmentative paragraph. I learned about the test.

Write about the best gift you have received

The greatest gift that I have revised, was a vinyl player. I got it many years ago as a birthday present, and I have been using it everyday since. I have collected many vinyl; many of which are signed. It was first in my room, but later moved down to the basement, since the floor was more stable. Absent.
